A Bit More About My Journey
I’ve embraced the role of a therapist throughout my adult life, though it wasn’t always in the traditional sense. I started as a bartender, mixing drinks and listening to people share their daily struggles—a role that taught me so much about empathy and connection. Later, I transitioned into corporate training, traveling across the U.S. for over a decade. I loved working with people at all levels, listening to their challenges, and helping them improve their careers and lives.
After running my own family business in Cairns for 20 years, I felt called to pursue something even more personal. That’s when I decided to start my private Hypnotherapy practice. Discovering guided hypnosis, Neurolinguistic Programming, and other powerful techniques to rewire the conscious and subconscious mind, I realized I had been on a lifelong journey of listening, learning, and healing.
When I’m not wearing my hypnotherapist hat, you’ll find me staying active and keeping my mind and body healthy. I prioritize daily yoga and stretching, walking meditations, nature hikes, and bike-riding adventures. I also believe strongly in giving back to my community through volunteer work, as I feel it strengthens our bonds and reminds us of the importance of service.
My core values include honesty, privacy, trustworthiness, integrity, optimism, and a genuine desire to help others. I approach each session with care, positivity, non-judgment, and a commitment to attentive listening.
In addition to my hypnotherapy certification, I’ve completed studies in stress and anxiety relief, pain reduction, parts therapy, fertility hypnosis, hypno-birthing, and end-of-life hypnosis techniques. I’m always learning—researching, teaching, and applying the most effective principles of hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT, EFT, Havening, and more.
