Release what’s holding you back

Releasing: Letting Go of What No Longer Serves You

Life is full of moments that shape us, from joyful milestones to challenges that test our resilience. But sometimes, we hold onto emotions, thoughts, or behaviors that no longer serve us. Whether it’s old pain, self-doubt, or limiting beliefs, these anchors can weigh us down and stop us from stepping into the life we truly desire.

The good news? Releasing is possible. And with the power of hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), it becomes a gentle, effective process of letting go and moving forward.

What Does Releasing Mean to you?

Is it about freeing yourself from mental or emotional baggage that's createing tension, anxiety or stagnation. Is it ignoring your feelings or denying your experiences, are you ready to let go of what’s holding you back.

Common things people struggle to release might include:

Negative self-talk or inner criticism

Unresolved emotions

Old habits or patterns of self-sabotage

Fear of failure or fear of success

Relationship or career-related regrets

By letting go, you create space for clarity, confidence, and new possibilities to flourish.

How Hypnosis Helps You Release

Hypnosis works directly with your subconscious mind, where these patterns and emotions are often stored. In a deeply relaxed state, your mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions, allowing you to:

Identify and address what you’re holding onto.

Reframe unhelpful thoughts or beliefs into empowering ones.

Dissolve emotional blocks in a safe and supportive environment.

Reinforce your ability to release and let go with ease.

Think of your mind like a computer: sometimes it needs a reboot or a software update. Hypnosis helps you reset, letting go of outdated programs and installing new ones that better align with your current goals and values.

By using specific language and mental exercises, you can:

Break down deeply ingrained thought patterns.

Shift your perspective and help you see challenges in a new light.

Anchor empowering states of calm, confidence, and clarity.

  • Try this simple Letting-Go Process -

Here’s a short exercise to help you release tension or negativity:

Find a Quiet Space: Sit or lie down somewhere comfortable where you won’t be disturbed.

Breathe Deeply: Take slow, deep breaths in through your nose, holding for a moment, and exhaling through your mouth. Let each exhale carry away stress or tension.

Visualize: Imagine holding a balloon in your hands. This balloon contains the emotion, thought, or habit you want to release.

Acknowledge: Say to yourself, “I see you. I acknowledge your presence. Thank you for what you’ve taught me. It’s time to let you go.”

Release: Visualize opening your hands and letting the balloon float away into the sky. Watch it grow smaller and smaller until it disappears entirely.

Affirm: Repeat to yourself, “I release what no longer serves me. I am free.” Feel a sense of lightness and calm filling the space where that old weight used to be. (If a Balloon doesn't resonate, try a hand full of leaves released into the water, some people burn paper with the things they want to release written on the paper... let me know what works for you?)
